Skooby Laposky is an artist, designer, film composer, and field recordist whose work is rooted in the practice of deep listening. Across documentary film, club music, consumer product sound design, and biodata sonification, they create immersive sonic experiences that foster emotional connection, embodied movement, and everyday engagement. Their recent research explores active listening and the sonification of biodata, helping people cultivate a deeper relationship with nature and support restorative practices such as yoga and meditation.

The Wellesley College Concert Series is thrilled to have Skooby Laposky transform nature's biodata into an evolving sound installation and performance in the Jewett Arts Center Sculpture Court.
