As part of an academic project exploring controversy, censorship, and discourse within the Jewish-American theatre, come see one of three staged readings of pieces that either grapple with these themes or spark controversial conversations themselves. Following the performances, there will be a moderated community discussion, to process the pieces and ideas discussed in these artistic works, which will help Phia with their findings.

  • Friday: The God of Vengeance by Sholem Asch, translated by Richard Nelson
  • Saturday: The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Carson Kreitzer
  • Sunday: The Model Apartment by Donald Margulies
