*** As of September 2022, a new COVID-19 Bivalent booster vaccination has been made available and protects against the latest Omnicron strain! Students are eligible to receive this at least TWO MONTHS after their COVID-19 vaccination series/booster.

 

COVID-19 Testing On-Campus

COVID-19 testing is available on-campus! Wellesley College students can have testing done at one of the following locations listed below.

  • Health Services
    • Rapid RT-PCR COVID-19 testing is available for symptomatic students.
    • To schedule an appointment for COVID-19 testing :
      • Please call our office at 781.283.2810.
      • Please contact us through Patient Gateway.
    • COVID-19 testing is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
  • College Club
    • Rapid Antigen and/or delivered PCR COVID-19 testing is available.
      • Results are typically available within 24 hours.
    • Walk-Ins are accepted during testing hours.
      • Please refer to the Toolbox for hours.

 

*** If you need to obtain a PCR COVID-19 test for travel, you may find a testing site near you or request to have Health Services place an order to have testing completed at Newton-Wellesley Hosptial.

Over-The-Counter (OTC) COVID-19 Tests

Many insurance plans - including SHIP - will cover OTC COVID-19 (Rapid Antigen) tests from CVS Pharmacy at no cost. You may receive up to eight COVID-19 tests every 30 days.

  • How to Order Your COVID-19 Test from CVS :
    • Click here to go to the CVS website.
    • Click the button labeled "Request at-home COVID-19 tests"
    • Answer background questions and provide your zip code.
      • This will help you find the closest CVS Pharmacy with COVID-19 test inventory.
    • Select your preferred CVS Pharmacy.
    • Provide appropriate insurance information that can be found on your insurance card.
    • Place an order for in-store pick-up, and pick up your test once you recieve an e-mail confirmation.

 

The government has additionally offered to provide four free COVID-19 testing kits to residents. There are no shipping costs, and this process does not require any credit/debit card information.

  • How to Request Your COVID-19 Test from the Government :
    • Click here to access the COVID.gov website.
    • Click the button labelled "Order Free At-Home Tests," and simply fill out the form!

 

 

COVID-19 Exposure & Isolation Protocol

If you tested positive for COVID-19 : 

  • You must upload your positive test result through the Toolbox if you test outside of Health Services and/or at home.
  • You must isolate for five full days from the day you tested positive.
    • The day you test positive for COVID-19 is considered Day Zero.
  • You must remain in your room during the isolation period.
    • You are permitted to use the restroom and pick up a to-go meal while wearing a mask.
  • You should wear a mask for an additional five days after completing the isolation period.
  • You do not need to test again for COVID-19 within 90 days after initially testing positive.
  • Please contact Health Services with any questions or concerns regarding symptoms.

 

If you were in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 : 

  • You do not need to quarantine if you are asymptomatic.
  • You should test for COVID-19 within three to five days after exposure.
  • You must wear a mask for 10 days when around others.
COVID-19 Vaccination

Students are required to be fully vaccinated with a primary COVID-19 series and an additional booster to be on-campus. Only very few students have been granted an exemption with proper documentation.

 

Ways to Book an Appointment for a COVID-19 Vaccination : 

  • Use VaxFinder.mass.gov to find nearby locations and schedule an appointment online.
  • Refer to our local pharmacy, CVS Pharmacy on at 188 Linden Street to schedule an appointment.
    • Appointments can be booked directly through the CVS website.

 

*** Please note that Health Services does not currently offer COVID-19 vaccines.

 

How to Upload Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination : 

  • Upload directly through Patient Gatway.
    • Click Messages
    • Click the button labeled "Send a message"
      • Select Medical Question
      • Select Non-Urgent Medical Question
    • Select a Health Services Provider such as Jennifer Schwartz MD, Olivia Lau CNP, or Patricia Wefald NP
      • If you are unable to find a Health Services Provider, please contact our office at 781.283.2810 for further assistance.
    • After writing a brief message indicating that you're uploading forms and documents, click the paperclip icon to attach an image.
  • If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please contact Health Services at 781.283.2810 for further assistance.

 

*** Please note that failure to upload documentation of your COVID-19 vaccination status in a timely manner may jeopardize your housing status on-campus.

Influenza (Flu) information and resources can be found below!

Influenza Testing On-Campus

Testing for Influenza can be completed on-campus at Health Services! Please contact Health Services to schedule an appointment for testing.

Influenza Protocol

If you have tested positive for Influenza : 

  • Notify your RD/Area Coordinator, Dean, and Professors.
  • If you have any questions or concerns regarding your symptoms, contact Health Services to either speak with our triage nurse or to schedule a virtual appointment to speak with a provider.
  • You may return to classes and other activites after being fever-free for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
Influenza Vaccination
