Jennifer Schwartz, MD
Dr. Schwartz is the medical director of health services and sports medicine. She is board-certified in both family and sports medicine and has extensive experience in managing eating disorders., Dr. Schwartz received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in 2008, and completed her residency in family medicine at Tufts University and a sports medicine fellowship at UMass. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the Massachusetts Eating Disorder Association. In addition to her work at Wellesley College, she sees primary care patients at Wellesley Family Care Associates, P.C.
HBHeather Benedetto, NP
Heather has worked at Suffolk University Health Service where she supported students with evidence-based holistic and total health focused care. Heather graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Catholic University of America. Heather is a health coach and yoga teacher.
Lisa Keefe, RN Clinical Care Corrdinator
Lisa is a graduate of Providence College ’82 and Quinnipiac College ’85. She began working at Wellesley College in 1998 as a per diem nurse then joined the staff full time in 2006. She brings with her 30+ years of pediatric and GYN experience from Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham & Women's Hospital, and Newton-Wellesley Hospital where she maintains her position on the Pediatric Inpatient Unit.
Lisa and her husband, Tim live in Natick and have 3 grown children.
ESElizabeth Scanlan, NP
Elizabeth has worked at Suffolk University Health Service and served as the Nurse Director for Brigham Health Pain Management and Nurse Director and Family Nurse Practitioner at Brookside Community Health Center. Elizabeth graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University. Elizabeth is bi-lingual in medical Spanish and is a Master Quilter in her spare time.
RSRiva Stephens, NP
Riva is a nurse practitioner. She received her BSN at Russell Sage (#WomenOfInfluence2013) MSN at UMass Boston (2019). Her RN residency was in CVICU and is board certified as Adult Geriatric Primary Care NP. Her graduate research was on motivational interviewing for obesity counseling in adult primary care. She is very grateful to work with the Wellesley College patient population.
JWJanie Wegimont, Coordinator
Janie Wegimont is the practice coordinator. She has been with Newton-Wellesley Hospital for 15 years, previously working at the hospital as a Unit Coordinator on inpatient units. Before working in healthcare, she was a management assistant for a theatre in Boston and worked as a secretary for Framingham Public Schools.
