Q. What is iTunes U?

iTunes U is a section of the iTunes Store dedicated to educational content provided by colleges and universities. Wellesley's iTunes U contains many collections (read more about them) with lectures, presentations, and performances by Wellesley students, faculty, alumnae, and guests. Anyone can stream or download our podcasts.

Q. Do I need special software to download and listen to iTunes U content?

On a Mac or PC: 

iTunes 6.0 or later is required. You can download it for free on the iTunes download page. Before installing, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements listed below the "Download Now" button.

On an iOS device:

The iTunes U app is required. You can download it for free from the App Store.

Q. Where can I find Wellesley's iTunes U?

If you have iTunes (6.0 +), you can visit Wellesley College on iTunes U (this link will open iTunes) or search "Wellesley College" in the iTunes Store to browse, stream, or download content. Subscribing to a Collection in the iTunes Store will automatically download future episodes.

Q. Is the content on Wellesley's iTunes U free?

Yes, everything on iTunes U is free!

Q. How can I listen to the Wellesley content I've downloaded?

On a Mac or PC: 

In the iTunes application, you'll find your downloaded Wellesley content in the iTunes U section of your Library. If you're subscribed to a Collection, undownloaded items will appear in grey. Double-click an undownloaded podcast to stream it, or click the down arrow button to download it.

On an iOS device:

You can play iTunes U podcasts in the iTunes U app. If you're subscribed to a Collection, undownloaded podcasts will appear with a down arrow icon to their right. Press the down arrow to download a podcast, or press the title of a podcast to stream.
