AV Controls

  • Use the Extron wall panel to operate projection screen and choose sources.
  • Video source remotes located on the instructor desk.
  • Additional wireless keyboard and mouse located on seminar table.

Turning on the Projector

From the Extron wall panel, press the Display Power button.  A green light will flash, indicating the projector has been turned on.  It may take 45 seconds to reach full brightness.

Projection Surface

The projector will project to the white wall.

Projecting from the Mac

  • Confirm the Mac is on.  Press the Mac button on the Extron wall panel.
  • Locate the wireless keyboard and mouse in the rack or conference table or use the instructor Mac's wired keyboard and mouse.

NOTE: The wireless keyboard and mouse operate on AA batteries.

Projecting from a Laptop

Connect laptop to VGA cable on instructor desk.  On the Extron wall panel, select LAPTOP.

Rotate the knob Volume Dial on the Extron wall panel.
 

Projecting from a VHS or DVD (Combo Player)

  • Turn on the VCR/DVD player located on the instructor desk.  Insert VHS tape or DVD into combo player.
  • On the Extron wall panel, press Display Power followed by Component Video.  A green light on the projector will falsh, indicating the projector has been turned on.  The projector will take approximately 45 seconds to reach full brightness. 
  • Use the player's onboard controls or the remote control located on the instructor desk.

Projecting from Region-Free DVD Player

  • Turn on the Region-free DVD player located on the instructor desk.  Insert a DVD into the player.
  • On the Extron wall panel, press Display Power followed by Composite Video.  A green light on the projector will falsh, indicating the projector has been turned on.  The projector will take approximately 45 seconds to reach full brightness. 
  • Use the player's onboard controls or the remote control located on the instructor desk.

Turning off the Projector

On the Extron wall panel, press and hold the Display Power button for a few seconds and then let go.  A green light on the panel will flash, indicating the projector will turn off in 90 seconds.  Note the projector cannot be turned on again until the 90 second cool-down mode is completed.
