WiFi Calling

WiFi Calling is now available on the Wellesley Secure wireless network. This allows your mobile phone to receive and send calls and (sometimes) texts over the wireless network in places with low cellular network coverage. Please check with your mobile phone provider if WiFi Calling is supported by your phone and plan. If supported, you may make and receive calls while connected to the Wellesley Secure WiFi network, even if you have no cellular signal. Rates may be different for WiFi calls and texts, but are typically lower or even free over WiFi.

IMPORTANT 911 INFORMATION:
An address is required for Wi-Fi calling in order for 911 operators to locate your position if you call 911 and it goes through WiFi instead of the cellular network.  The address you enter for WiFi calling 911 services will not be used for anything else.

As you change locations while using WiFi calling, remember to update your WiFi Calling address either through your phone’s settings (if available) or through your mobile phone provider.
