What is this software?

ESET is Antivirus software that replaces System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) and Malwarebytes.  ESET protects College-owned computers from ransomware, viruses, adware/spyware, and other malicious software.  
 
Where to find this software

We include ESET on new College-owned and recently refreshed/reimaged computers. If you do not have ESET yet, you may install ESET on your College-owned computer. See instruction links below.
 

Installation Requirements

macOS 10.12 - macOS 11: ESET is compatible. 

 

macOS 11 Big Sur and M1 Chip Machines: ESET releaed a Big Sur and M1 compatible installer on March 30th.

To avoid performance impact, manually uninstall any other anti-virus programs you may have on your computer before installing ESET (including SCEP and Malwarebytes).
