Music Instructor in LuteI am animated by the joy of working with like-minded musicians toward a common goal of performances that transport the listener to another time, and touch their emotions.
My research interests include how the marriage of Rhetoric and Music affects how music is performed, especially as pertains to 17th century French lute music.
I enjoy meeting students where they are and helping them discover not only the mechanics of playing the lute, but also how to play expressively.
My professional interests include accompanying singers both student and professional.
My personal interests include gardening and making bread.
