Organist and Choir Director at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley, Massachusetts.


Helen Ward Mannix was appointed the organist/choir director at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley in 2007. She leads a semi-professional choir as well as plays their exquisite Juget-Sinclair organ, which was dedicated in 2006. As well as being a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, she received her BM and MM in organ performance from The New England Conservatory of Music studying under Christa Rakich and William Porter. She continued her studies in Europe for four years. Ms Mannix spent two years in Florence under the tutelage of Liuwe Tamminga and played at St. James, The American Church. She continued her studies in Ostfriesland with Harald Vogel and The North German Organ Academy. During her fourth year she was an advanced student in the studio of Jacques van Oortmerssen in Amsterdam. She has traveled widely in Europe and Scandinavia playing various organs where she has also concertized.
