Erica Kim '20

Hello! I am Erica Kim, class of 2020, a neuroscience major from Chicago. In the spring of 2017 I joined the Tetel Lab. Currently, I am working with Alexis Corcoran to studythe effects of estrogens on energy homeostasis in ovariectomized mice. We are studying the interactions between FoxO1, leptin, and ERα in the hypothalamus using immunohistochemistry.  Before coming to Wellesley I knew I wanted to be involved in research. The Tetel lab allows me to explore my interest in both women's health and neuroscience. I hope to continue doing research beyond my years at Wellesley.  My time outside of lab is spent with Freestyle and Wellesley College Dancers.
