The Neuroscience Club

About Wellesley College Neuroscience Club

The purpose of the Neuroscience Club is to create a community for neuroscience majors as well as a forum for all Wellesley students and faculty to talk about neuroscience issues. The club hosts many events each semester, such as the Big/Little pairing ceremony in the Fall and reunion in the Spring, fun study breaks during finals weeks, and NeuroNite and Facul-teas that allow students to chat informally with faculty and staff in the department. By organizing activities for the club members, the Neuroscience Club builds a sense of community and support network for students interested in Neuroscience. Furthermore, through outreach activities at elementary, middle, and high schools in the Greater Boston area, the club fosters the wider community's interest in Neuroscience—a field that is becoming increasingly important in today's society due to technological advances such as fMRI and stem cell research.
