T4 programs 20-21

Wellesley T4 Abroad Custom Programs

These programs are offered exclusively to Wellesley students and are adaptations of pre-approved semester-long programs that align with the Wellesley Spring 2021 calendar.

Students will be billed Wellesley College tuition for the Spring Semester plus a program fee of $4,443 (50% of Wellesley’s Spring Semester room and board fees). The program fee will cover housing, meals, and round-trip transportation to the program site (OIS will book flights through Wellesley-approved travel agent), onsite orientation, excursions and cultural activities, comprehensive health insurance, and 24/7 access to local staff for emergency assistance.

For students who have been awarded financial aid for 2020-2021, the cost to you for attending a T4 study abroad program will be the same as the cost of living on campus for T4. If you will be remote for T3, and therefore have a baseline budget for off-campus housing and meals of $4443 for the semester, your financial aid will be increased by $2221 in T4 to cover the additional costs of the study abroad program.

The OIS will provide students with advice and the necessary documentation to apply for visas, where applicable.

TO APPLY:

  1. Complete Preliminary Application (Interest Form)
  2. Submit a Proposal to Study Away* in My Wellesley. In the drop-down menu of programs, select from the "Wellesley-in-XXX T4" program list. (If your selected programs have more than 2 courses offered, please indicate which courses you would like to take in the comments section of the Proposal.)

* Note: We have not made technical modifications to the Proposal specifically for the T4 programs, so first year students will need to use a good deal of imagination to fill out every field. (Tip: pull up the course browser from 2019-20, and identify courses that you find interesting and list those as future possible course. You'll need to list your GPA as 0.0 if you don't have any grades yet.)

Submitting a Preliminary Application or Proposal to Study Away does not commit you to enrolling. Once your application is accepted you will be provided with a timeline for confirmation, and this will vary by program.

PRIORITY DEADLINE: November 9, 2020

Programs that do not meet minimum enrollment targets by this date may be cancelled.

Applications received after this date will be considered on a space available basis.

T4 Study Abroad: Wellesley Custom Programs
