The city of Bremen is located on the River Weser in the northwest of Germany with a beautiful old town to explore and many cultural attractions. Students at Jacobs University Bremen will join an intercultural community with students from over 100 countries living on a large park like campus. The University offers a custom visiting program for students at Wellesley College with a focus on natural science and research development and enables Wellesley students to continue their pre-med studies abroad. There are study trips to other major European cities such as Brussels and Berlin. Students participating in the Fall Pre-Health program will travel to Bremen with a Wellesley faculty member and take Biochemistry (CHEM 222 w/ lab) with that faculty member. The course will appear as a Wellesley course and the grade will be factored into the Wellesley GPA. Prior to the start of the program, all Fall and Full-Year students have the option of participating in a summer German language course offered each year in a major city in Germany.
