Wellesley's Fall Semester program at University of Akureyri in Northern Iceland. Study a variety of subjects with courses taught in English, live in a vibrant & fun college town, and experience the stunning beauty of Iceland - including the Northern Lights! Program includes a week at Skalanes Research Station in East Iceland.
Founded in 1987, University of Akureyri has a progressive and community-oriented learning environment. The University is active in research and dedicated to the economic and societal development of Iceland and the Arctic regions.
Students: 2 spaces per Fall Semester.
Calendar:
Fall semester: mid August to mid December
Location: Akureyri, Iceland
Housing: Single room in student housing with access to kitchen and bathroom
Cost: Students are responsible for paying tuition to Wellesley. Students rent the rooms on their own responsibility and pay fees to the landlord or housing manager. Wellesley is responsbile for the field station fee. Useful information regarding cost of living in Iceland can be found here. Financial aid will be recalculated based on anticipated living expenses abroad.
Pre-Requisites: 2.7 GPA
Language of Instruction: English
Application Deadlines: Students planning on studying abroad during the 22-23 Academic Year must submit a Proposal to Study Away prior to Dec 1 2021.
