Felicity Salmon

Felicity Salmon is the Music Program and Concert Manager in the Department of Music at Wellesley College, where she oversees the planning and production of more than 60 concerts, recitals, residencies, and special events each year. Working closely with faculty, students, guest artists, and campus partners, she manages each event from initial planning through performance and post-production. Her responsibilities encompass artist contracts and travel, scheduling and rehearsal coordination, stage and front-of-house operations, technical and recording needs, marketing and communications, and financial reconciliation.

Salmon also supports the broader academic and artistic life of the Music Department. She coordinates resources and logistics for faculty and ensembles, manages the department’s master program calendar, and plans guest-artist residencies designed to deepen students’ educational experiences. She has developed a cohesive visual identity for the department’s public programming and produces concert programs, posters, digital content, newsletters, and social media communications. She also hires, trains, and mentors student workers, providing practical experience in stage management, concert production, recording, audience services, and arts administration.

An active professional soprano, Salmon has performed with Cantata Singers since 2013 and has appeared as a soloist in both its Concert and Chamber Series. Critics have praised her “brightly focused” sound and the “deep sensitivity” of her performances.  She currently serves as Chorus Manager for Cantata Singers and previously served as president of the chorus. Her experience as a performer informs her approach to concert production, artist relations, and the support she provides to Wellesley’s student musicians.

Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Salmon studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music before completing undergraduate work in music and theater in Hawaii, where she toured internationally as a singer and actor. She earned a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the Boston Conservatory, studying with William Cotten, and pursued additional music and language study in Urbania, Italy, through the Manhattan School of Music. She spent nearly a decade as a teaching artist with Classroom Cantatas, helping Boston Public School students compose and perform original songs.
