Mary Helen McCollister

Mary Helen McCollister provides strategic operational and fiscal oversight for the Department of Biological Sciences and the Biochemistry Program. Her role includes facilitating essential administrative and logistical support for all faculty and staff. She regularly helps plan and participates in community-building events within the Science Center that bring faculty, staff, and students together. As well, she maintains a strong partnership with students in their capacity as department reps and event assistants. 

Trained as a Certified Public Accountant, Mary Helen McCollister brings a wealth of financial experience to Wellesley College, where she has been a key contributor to the Biological Sciences and Biochemistry administrative offices since 2013. She earned her BS in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of South Alabama. 

Outside of work, Mary Helen enjoys pickleball, tennis, and golf. Her latest passion is learning the game of Mahjong. She also prioritizes spending time with her family and friends.
