Thesis Registration

Registering for Thesis

Students cannot web register for Thesis courses (360). They must first see their Major Advisor to confirm they are eligible to do a Thesis. They have to then choose a Thesis Advisor, who may be different than their Major Advisor.

Responsibility of Academic Departments

Academic Departments are responsible for submitting a preliminary list of Thesising students (with names, IDs, and advisors) in May to the Office of the Registrar, and should submit a list of any additional students not submitted in May by the last day of the Fall ADD period. The Registrar’s Office will then register these students for their specific Thesis section. Students will know they are officially registered for the Thesis when they see the section appear on their schedule online.

Note: that due to the high volume of Thesis registrations, schedules may not be immediately updated online.

Responsibility of Students

Students are responsible for verifying their schedules before the end of the Fall add period (check the Registration Dates for reference). If a Thesis registration is not showing on your schedule, please check with the Department prior to contacting the Office of the Registrar.

Students will be able to check their updated schedule online. Schedules may not be updated online for 3-5 business days after departments have submitted their lists of students.
