Catholic Chaplain, Director of Newman Ministry
Emily Jendzejec, MDiv, serves as Catholic Chaplain to the students, staff and faculty of the College honoring and supporting the spiritual practices of a diverse community.
Emily is originally from Maine and enjoys going back to visit the rocky coast whenever possible. She is a graduate of Boston College and Harvard Divinity School. In addition to her role at Wellesley, she serves as Pastoral Minister for Young Adults at the Paulist Center in downtown Boston.
Stemming from her rootedness in Catholic Social Teaching, Emily is dedicated to working for social justice through teaching community organizing practices and leadership development. She most recently served as Training Director with the faith-based Leadership Development Initiative and as Teaching Fellow with Community Organizing Professor Marshall Ganz at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Emily lives in Somerville with her husband and when not working can be found riding her bicycle along the Charles, or hiking in the White Mountains.
