Protestant Community

Protestant Community

The Protestant Community is a chaplaincy in the Protestant tradition, weaving together the strands of our mainline stories with the style and openness of the emerging church. We welcome all who are searching for a grace-filled community that is rooted in the Christian church.  Whenever we gather, we nourish one another with a rich sense of connectedness and community.  Together, we seek and distill wisdom from our experiences of scripture, tradition and church – always searching for new truths in light the life of the mind. A constant companion in our community is the Holy Spirit, which guides, sustains and binds us together.

All are welcome to our Wednesday evening gathering. A short liturgy of prayer, scripture, and reflection is accompanied by a meditation offered by the chaplain or a member of the group. Activities include a weekend prayer retreat, opportunities for community service, and outings to Boston area churches.
