Career Education - Civic Engagement maintains partnerships throughout Boston and the Metro West that offer students’ the opportunity to volunteer throughout the academic year. These partnerships are with community organizations that are doing innovative and ethical work in their respective fields. Our partner organizations have made a commitment to work with Wellesley students to help them develop the skills and knowledge needed to become change agents throughout their lives.
Students volunteering with partner organizations are eligible to apply their federal work study award (maximum of six hour per week during the academic semester) toward their volunteer work. The 2017 - 2018 partnership sites are:
- Framingham Public Schools
- South Middlesex Correctional Center
- Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center
- St. Stephen's Youth Programs
- Natick Community Organic Farm
- A Better Chance Program
