All returning students must register in April for the courses they select for the fall semester and in November for the spring semester.

The registration system remains open to accommodate changes, and students’ schedules are available online. Students will not receive credit for a course unless they are properly registered for it, and a student who has registered for a course will remain registered unless the student takes formal action to drop it. Students are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their registration.

Any conflicts in scheduling must be reported to the registrar’s office immediately. A student is not permitted to take a course if it conflicts with any other course on the schedule.  In planning their schedules, students should be aware that two time periods are set aside as Community Time each week, Tuesdays 4:15-6 and Wednesdays 12:30-2, and class meetings are not ordinarily held during these periods.

The usual course load is four courses earning at least 4.0 units of credit. Resident students must be enrolled in at least three units of coursework to remain eligible for housing.

International students in non-immigrant visa status (F-1 or J-1) must be enrolled full-time (at least three units of coursework) each semester, not including the summer, in order to maintain their status in the United States. There are limited exceptions to this regulation. Please see information regarding immigration regulations for international students here or contact the International Student & Scholar Advisor at kpabon@wellesley.edu for more information.
