Food Truck Policy

Food Truck Policy

In order to comply with the Town of Wellesley’s Health Department any student organization wishing to bring a food truck must complete the following steps:

  1. Make an appointment to meet with the Office of Student Involvement at least 60 days prior to the proposed event
  2. Submit your space request via 25Live for the location the food truck is to park at (Severance Green or Munger Meadow, other locations may be discussed with the Office of Student Involvement)
  3. If there is a contract that needs reviewed and signed submit it to the Office of Student Involvement
  4. Inform the vendor that they need to contact the Town of Wellesley to submit paperwork and schedule an inspection by the Board of Health.

Things to consider when bringing a food truck:

  • Does the truck charge a travel fee?
  • Do you need to guarantee a minimum amount of revenue?
  • Will the food truck comply with Wellesley’s vendor policy?
  • How large is the truck?
  • Where will the truck go on campus?
  • Does the type of truck add something to your event?

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the Town of Wellesley rules and regulations governing takeout food served by mobile food vendors.

Please contact Megan Jordan (mjordan) or Eric Gudmundson (egudmund) with any questions and to make an appointment to discuss bringing a food truck on campus.
