I give thanks to all the amazing faculty and staff that helped me throughout my time at Wellesley. I couldn’t have done it without them! When my parents divorced, there was suddenly no money for college. Desperate not to lose my chance, I met with then-Financial Aid Director Amy Bostaris-Nychis, but I was ineligible for aid. I despaired, until she looked me straight in the eye and asked “Are you willing to work? Because if you are, I will throw you every job you can handle.” Thanks to her, I worked my way through college, as a dishwasher, mail sorter, writer, and more. When I got the job in the College PR office, it laid the foundation for my 40-year marketing career. I pay my thanks forward by donating to the Students Aid Society, who also helped me along the way. All personified the spirit of Non Ministrari sed Ministrare.
