Vicky Tsai ’00, choosing happiness
- Alumnae
At Wellesley, economics. After Wellesley, 10 years in the corporate world, from Wall Street to Starbucks. Which, well, gave her a bad case of dermatitis. So she quit. She describes this decision simply: “I chose happiness.” A trip to Kyoto inspired Tatcha, her luxury skin care brand. She sold her furniture, her car, even her wedding ring, to get it off the ground. Now it’s a beauty store staple and a Room to Read partner. To date, the brand has funded 7 million school days for girls around the world. And Vicky’s pesky dermatitis? It’s all better now. Yeah, choose happiness.
