Igor Logvinenko
Igor Logvinenko is an Associate Professor of Diplomacy and World Affairs and an affiliate of the John Parke Young Initiative on the Global Political Economy at Occidental College in Los Angeles.

He is the author of Global Finance and Local Control: Corruption and Wealth in Contemporary Russia (Cornell Studies in Money series, Cornell University Press, 2021), which won the Best Book Prize from the International Political Economy section of the International Studies Association in 2023. His research and commentary have appeared in Communist and Post-Communist Studies, Democratization, European Journal of Politics and Gender, Europe-Asia Studies, Review of International Political Economy, Russian Politics, The Washington Post, Just Security, The Moscow Times, and other publications. He previously held appointments at the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, the Monterey Institute for International Studies, and Wellesley College. He holds a Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University.
