About

Bringing the power of the liberal arts to global challenges

Grounded in the liberal arts and the service philosophies of Wellesley College, a historically women’s college, the Albright Institute for Global Affairs draws linkages between education and practice for aspiring global leaders and exemplifies and advocates for the value of diverse and multidisciplinary perspectives when addressing global challenges.

The Albright Institute Fellowship, our flagship program open to Wellesley juniors and seniors, selects 40 Fellows per year to participate in an intensive training in global affairs followed by a practicum experience. Apart from the Fellowship, the Albright Institute stimulates cross-disciplinary engagement with global affairs at Wellesley and beyond through internship offerings, public lectures, and support to innovative academic programming.

The Albright Institute is guided by Secretary Madeleine Korbel Albright’s collaborative leadership style and dedication to public service as well as the mission and values of Wellesley College. In our work, we center:

  • Collaborative Leadership

  • Inclusivity

  • Real World Experience

  • Public Service.

Since its founding in 2010, the Albright Institute has supported global engagement experiences for hundreds of Wellesley students, helping to shape the next generation of global leaders.
