Amy Batchelor ’88 Managing Director, Anchor Point Foundation
The Anchor Point Foundation makes grants to non-profit organizations in the arts, education, entrepreneurship, conservation and the environment, health and human services, women’s and human rights, international development, capacity building, and progressive public policy.
Batchelor currently serves on The Nature Conservancy Global Campaign Committee and Africa Affinity Group for Women and Children, and the Boulder Community Health Foundation Board of Trustees. Batchelor served on the Board of Trustees at Wellesley College from 2009 to 2015. A collector of contemporary art, she has been a trustee of the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art since 2000. Batchelor served as a trustee of the Community Foundation serving Boulder County from 2000 to 2005. She is also a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Batchelor co-founded and is a partner of Social Venture Partners Boulder County. SVP Boulder County strengthens non-profits through investments of cash grants and pro bono consulting and emphasizes building the capacity and sustainability of organizations. Since its founding in 2000, SVP Boulder County has invested over $1.3 million in cash grants and $2 million of in-kind consulting in Boulder County non-profits.
Batchelor is the co-author of Startup Life: Surviving and Thriving in a Relationship with an Entrepreneur with her husband, Brad Feld. She occasionally blogs and is active on Twitter (@abatchelor).
Batchelor graduated from Wellesley College in 1988 with a B.A. in Political Philosophy. Batchelor lives in Boulder, Colorado, and has homes in Aspen, Colorado and Homer, Alaska, where she was born. Batchelor travels extensively and has spent time on every continent except Antarctica. Her hobbies include reading, tennis, English riding, and knitting.
Batchelor is married to Brad Feld (MIT, S.B. ’87, S.M. ’88), a venture capitalist and managing director at Foundry Group.
