Genevieve Bates
Genevieve Bates is an Anna Julia Cooper Postdoctoral Research Associate and an incoming Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

She received her PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago in 2021. Her research focuses on transitional justice and human rights, with a particular focus on accountability in the aftermath of mass political violence. She has published in Perspectives on Politics, the Journal of Human Rights, and Foreign Policy.
