Ismar Volic, Professor of Mathematics at Wellesley College, provides an engaging lesson in democratic elections and vote-counting techniques. U.S. national elections use the plurality vote-counting method, and this talk discusses the pros and cons of other methods, including how our elections may have turned out differently if another technique were used.
