She is especially interested in cyber law and the intersection of social psychology and human computer interactions. In the fall of 2020, Avery is volunteering as a core member of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship coalition in Joe Biden’s Presidential Campaign. On campus, Avery is Co-Director for Wellesley’s Annual Hackathon and part of the MIT Gordon Engineering Leadership Program. She is also president of the Wellesley Ultimate Team. In the future, Avery hopes to work in the tech industry and pursue higher education looking at how individual backgrounds affect the ways technologies are used.
