Hana Sugioka ’21

Hana Sugioka
Hana is a junior double majoring in Classical Studies and Art History.

She is currently working on a project focused on the digital reconstruction of ancient monuments and how the process can be applied to cultural heritage. In the summer of 2018, Hana excavated at the ancient site of Eleon in Arma, Greece which transpired into an interest in ancient burial traditions. On campus, Hana has been an active member of the Wellesley Athletics community and works in the Art Department doing installation or working in the sculpture lab. She has taken Italian and ancient Greek at Wellesley. After graduation, Hana hopes to continue her studies of the ancient world in order to help inform cultural heritage global policy.
