Hero Ashman
Hero is a junior majoring in Economics and Political Science, with a concentration in Political Theory.

She is particularly interested in non-mainstream economics and critiques of neoliberalism. This year she began work as a Teaching Assistant for the Economics Department. In the summer of 2013, Hero worked for an accountancy and taxation firm back in the UK. On campus, she works at the Admission Office, performing administrative work, giving tours and working at reception. Beyond academics, she takes part in student theater productions and is part of Wellesley's improvisation comedy team. Having attended United World College in Norway, she would like to spend further time living and working in Scandinavia. After graduation, Hero wants to work for a research and advocacy organization aimed at tackling economic inequality. Her goal is to then attend graduate school and pursue a career in academics.
