Melanie Rumbel
Melanie is a senior majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Health and Society.

In the summer of 2019, she worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia doing clinical research on rare neurodegenerative diseases in a pediatric population. The fall semester prior, she studied abroad at the University of Córdoba in Spain for cultural and linguistic immersion. Melanie was also abroad in New Delhi, India during the summer of 2018, working at the global healthcare nonprofit Operation ASHA. At Wellesley, she is the Vice President of Wellesley Global Health, volunteers with Alzheimer’s Buddies, and dances with Wellesley On Tap. She tutors in creative writing and English as a Second Language. Melanie’s goal upon graduation is to work in the field of global and public health, particularly as it involves equalizing healthcare access to all populations.
