Merelin Baldonado
Merelin is a junior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Africana studies.

In the summer of 2022, Merelin attended a pre-law program at Alabama Law. She also researched ethnonationalism in the Dominican Republic, particularly in legislation. Merelin spent her fall semester in Córdoba, Spain, where she enjoyed the food culture and traveled to other European cities. Merelin works in the Clapp Library and is involved with Yanvalou, the African dance and drum ensemble. Merelin’s long-term goal is to attend law school and potentially practice international or intellectual property law in Latin America or Europe.
