She grew up in the US and South Korea, and speaks Korean fluently. She is interested in sustainable development and the implications of the built environment on people’s health. In the summer of 2019, Michaella worked at the Yale School of Public Health in the Environmental Health Sciences department researching ways to improve personal air pollution sampling methods. She spent the fall of 2019 studying civil engineering at University College London. Upon graduation, Michaella hopes to continue studying the intersections of society, technology, and the environment, and ultimately to pursue a career in public service.
