Rhea Mehta ’20

Rhea Mehta
As an international student from New Delhi, Rhea comes with first hand experience of understanding the power of a growing economy and realizing the importance of the private and public partnership towards achieving that rapid growth.

This past summer, she interned at Venture for America, a non-profit that increases entrepreneurship in economically stagnant cities in the US. Venture for America is responsible for creating hundreds of new jobs across the country and stirring economic growth. A couple of years back, Rhea started an initiative www.SaveLivesDonateOrgans.com which was aimed towards spreading awareness about Organ Donation in India and also issues donor cards to potential donors. Rhea is now looking at ways to expand her cause to reach more people in more areas. At Wellesley, Rhea is the CEO of Smart Women Securities, a national organisation that aims to educate women about the financial sector. She also serves on the executive board of WeStart, which is Wellesley’s Entrepreneurship organisation and Wellesley’s Model UN Team.
