Serena Chan
Serena is a junior majoring in Political Science and Cinema & Media Studies.

Serena has a penchant for creative multimedia production and academic research. She is an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the MIT Media Lab where she conducts research on visualizing international migration and human mobility, and sentiment analysis on refugee-related global news. Moreover, she has interned at both Maysles Documentary Center and Firelight Films and Media because of her interest in the preservation of documentary filmmaking and supporting local artists. On campus, Serena is the Co-Photoshoot Director for W.Collective, Wellesley’s fashion and lifestyle publication, and is the Head of Photography Editor for the Wellesley News. She also works as a Videographer and Student Tech for Media Services. In the future, Serena hopes to attend graduate school and apply her filmmaking and photography skills to initiate political discourse and multicultural understanding.
