Tarushi Nigam Sinha
Tarushi is a junior from New Delhi majoring in Economics and minoring Art History.

In the summer of 2018, Tarushi interned at Lendable, a New York-based fintech startup in the micro-lending sphere, where she worked on investment strategy while also spearheading the company’s Workplace Gender Equality initiative. In the past Tarushi has interned at the United Nations Global Compact Network branch in New Delhi where she researched policy and wrote a paper on what India can learn from countries leading in gender equality. She also spent a summer at the Global Environment Fund in Washington, D.C. assisting with investment research on companies in the water recycling sector. At Wellesley, Tarushi is on the board of Wellesley Women in Business of which she will become Co-President in 2019. She has also served on the board of Slater International as the South-Asian Regional Representative and is an active member of Wellesley’s arts and music society, Tau Zeta Epsilon. She spent her junior fall semester taking immersive Art History courses in Paris. She is fluent in English and Hindi. After graduating in May 2020, Tarushi hopes to use her Economics major to create more financial opportunity for women in countries with emerging markets.
