The Music Department has 22 available practice rooms, most of which contain Steinway grand pianos.
All students currently taking lessons and/or participating in ensembles have access to the practice rooms in Jewett Arts Center. Due to the high demand, we encourage students who can practice in their dorm rooms to continue doing so.
Students who wish to use the Practice Rooms are encouraged to sign-up using the Student Practice Room Schedule, which is updated weekly during the semester.
Please keep in mind that priority will be given to faculty and to currently enrolled music students. Additionally, the following classrooms (JAC 209, JAC 218, PNW 101 and PNW 201) will only be available to request via 25Live.
Students are expected to be respectful of the practice room policy of no food or drink (except water), and to treat the pianos with care. Pianos are not to be moved from their positions.
