Georgia Murphy Johnson ’75

Four women and a little girl dressed in white pose for a photo during reunion

My story is about how Wellesley connections permeate through the generations. My mother, Katherine Barrett Murphy, graduated in 1953 and my daughter, Katie Johnson, graduated in 2003 so they share their reunion year. In 2023 they both came to their reunions and had a blast, but the parade was the best, when not only was my mother riding in one of the iconic cars, but my granddaughter, Georgia Rawlings (Katie’s daughter), insisted that she ride with her, announcing that she was going to go to Wellesley, too! In addition to Georgia, Katie and Mother being at reunion, Katie’s and Mother’s good Wellesley friends, Kaitlyn Wilkins ’03 and Barbara Brown ’53, were also there, making it quite the parade to remember!
