At 18 years old, my steps brought me to Lake Waban and the Wellesley College campus. Though I did not know at the time I would be baptized in these waters on Easter morning 1994. I started as a first-year student in 1990 within the Cluster Program, “Third and Developing-World Literature.” The halls of McAfee were filled with laughter and music, where stories and lives were shared among my Cluster classmates for that incredible, introductory academic year.

Over the next three decades, my steps would bring me to Ann Arbor, Chapel Hill, Guatemala City, New Brunswick, and New York. I would work as an anesthesiologist in NYC, raise a family in Portland, OR. Now, at the precipice of life’s third chapter, I am finding my steps along the Columbia River Gorge in Washington state, expanding my skills in gardening, medical acupuncture, and international travel. Grateful for my time at Wellesley.
