Pamela Price ’66
- 1960s

In 1962-63 there were four of us freshmen students in Tower Court who, in my mind, became soulmates. One thing that brought us together was a fondness for whacky, absurdist humor, not to speak of irony. When I got a very low number in the room lottery at the end of freshman year, it was gratifying that my friends agreed to move to Pomeroy so that we could still be together. To our delight, the class of ’66 there held kindred souls, and participation in absurdist antics grew in number. After graduation ’66, Pom grads in the Boston area—three of them named Susan—were the core of a post-Pom fellowship which calls itself, “the Susans.” Thanks to Zoom, we meet about every three weeks, widely spread geographically as we are. I am thankful to WC for creating “the Susans.”
