Coming to Wellesley from over a thousand miles away felt like the biggest journey of my life. Leaving behind the warmth of Pakistan, I was terrified—how could any place so far from home ever feel like home? But Wellesley proved me wrong in the best way possible.
From the very first week, I found a family here—friends who stayed up with me during late-night study sessions, professors who saw my potential before I did, and staff who always greeted me with kindness. I remember one particularly tough night when I felt unbearably homesick. A friend surprised me with chai, and we sat outside, wrapped in blankets, sharing stories under the stars. In that moment, I realized Wellesley wasn’t just a college; it was a home.
This community has given me a second family, and for that, I am forever grateful.
