Our mission
The Office of Class Deans at Wellesley College is committed to ensuring all students receive the support they need—from orientation through commencement—to achieve growth and success at Wellesley and beyond. We work closely together to provide students with holistic and individualized advising. We collaborate with faculty advisors and staff members from many other offices across the College to help make sure all of our students have the support they need to realize their goals.
Navigating your first year—Class Deans resources
The Dean of First-Year Students and the Director of Orientation and Transition Programs jointly support the New Student Orientation program, including the recruitment, selection, training, and supervision of the undergraduate Orientation Coordinators (OCs) and Orientation Mentors (OMs).
Please be sure view our Entering Students page for advice on how to make the most of your first year at Wellesley, and be sure to see our First Year Timeline.
We also encourage you to take advantage of Wellesley's many academic advising programs, including the Pforzheimer Learning and Teaching Center (PLTC) for additional support. They offer assistance with time management, as well as a variety of tutoring programs.
You are not on this journey alone, in life or at Wellesley. Your class dean will be there for you every step of the way to make sure that you have the individual attention & support you need to realize your goals.
