Wellesley College Public Safety and Campus Police Department—aka Public Safety—is headquartered in the Davis Parking Facility and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Public Safety provides safety education and consultation, law enforcement, parking enforcement, emergency preparedness, a lost and found repository, outreach programs with students, and other services. Above all, we are dedicated to providing quality public safety services to the Wellesley College community.

We do not have TTY (text telephone) capabilities. If you need to contact us and you are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, or speech-disabled, you may access MassRelay (numbers below) 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. A relay operator will complete your call, dial the party you wish to contact, and stay on the line to relay messages electronically via TTY or verbally to people who can hear. To Place a call using MassRelay
1. Dial 711 in Massachusetts or 1-800-439-0183 from anywhere. TTY users should dial 1-800-439-2370.
2. A relay operator will answer the call. Inform the relay operator either verbally or via the TTY of the number of the person you are calling and the connection will be made.
3. The relay operator will type the spoken words to the TTY and read/voice the typed words from the TTY back to the other party.
4. Both the caller and the called parties should use “GA” or “Go Ahead” when they are finished typing/talking and are ready for the other person’s response, to indicate that it is the other person’s turn to converse.

Safety
Officers patrol the campus on foot, on bicycles, and in police cruisers. To help ensure personal safety, the College offers accessibility and nighttime ride services. Student workers also provide these rides during limited hours.
In the event of a serious public safety event, our emergency alert system allows us to reach members of the community via voicemail, email, and text messages.
Report it
For immediate safety concerns or to report possible criminal activity, please contact Wellesley College Police at 781-283-5555 or local law enforcement.
You may use the Title IX/nondiscrimination incident reporting form to report an allegation of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. The nondiscrimination and Title IX websites offer more information and resources.
Parking
Members of the Wellesley community can register their cars with us and park in an assigned lot. Unregistered cars will be ticketed and towed unless they are in spaces reserved for guests/visitors.
Visitor parking
Guests on College business may park in the Davis Parking Facility. Upon arriving at the garage gate, they should press the button to be connected to a dispatcher, who will assist them.
Guests of students, faculty, or staff may park in the designated athletics/visitor parking area in the DC Lot.
Parking citation appeals
Parking citations may be appealed within 14 days of when the citation was written by emailing parking@wellesley.edu. Please provide the following information:
Citation number in the subject field (five-digit number located in upper left-hand corner of citation).
Your name, address, phone number, and reason for appeal in the body of the email.
Students and employees are responsible for fines incurred by their guests.

Every year, the Wellesley College Campus Security and Fire Safety Report is released in compliance with the Clery Act, providing campus security and fire safety data from the previous three years along with information about College policies, fire safety, resources, procedures, and how students, faculty, and staff should report crimes.
