Parent & Family Giving
The Parents Fund
The Parents Fund, an integral component of The Wellesley Fund, provides a flexible source of income that is used to sustain and enhance Wellesley's most strategically important projects, programs, and initiatives on a day-to-day basis.
Financial aid, academic programming, career education, student-faculty research, internships, and our beautiful campus all benefit from these annual contributions. Gifts to The Parents Fund provide direct and immediate revenue in the year that they are given.
Take a leadership role in sustaining the academic innovation and resources that make Wellesley exceptional by joining the Durant Society. While Wellesley is grateful for gifts of all amounts, we hope you will consider making a leadership-level gift of $2,500 or more. By placing Wellesley at the top of your charitable giving list, you are making a tangible investment in the life of the College and its students.
Durant Society members experience opportunities to deepen connections with the College. Parent members are invited to attend Durant Society events at the President's House during Friends & Family Weekend, commencement, and other regional and on-campus events. Members are also invited to hear the latest academic and student news from College leadership via conference calls.
Join the Parents Council
As the leaders of the Wellesley parent community, Parents Council members work to engage their peers in the life of the College as liaisons for parents of current students and alumnae. Members also serve as ambassadors of the College in their home communities and professional networks. Increasing parent support, in all its forms, is the primary focus of the Wellesley Parents Council.
Members of the Parents Council have the opportunity to play a leadership role in the Wellesley community, as well as investors in its success. Are you interested in helping grow the community of active and engaged parents at Wellesley? Do you have fundraising experience, an interest in hiring a Wellesley student as an intern, or a desire to welcome and connect with other parents living in your area? If so, please contact the Office of Parent & Family Programs to learn more about ways that you can get involved.
