Mimi Rabson presents a genre-crossing string quintet performance filled with creativity, groove, and virtuosity.
Join violinist, composer, and arranger Mimi Rabson and her string quintet for an exciting afternoon that reimagines what a chamber ensemble can be. Featuring original compositions inspired by jazz, funk, rock, and fusion, this program ventures far beyond traditional string repertoire. A first-prize recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship in Composition, Rabson is one of Boston's most creative musical voices, known for her innovative arrangements, published works, and contributions to Berklee Press and Strings Magazine.
