Michael Twitty, culinary historian, author, and founder of the Southern Discomfort Tour, in conversation with Michael Jeffries, Dean of Academic Affairs, Class of 1949 Professor in Ethics, and Professor of American Studies, Wellesley College.

Twitty is the author of Recipes from the American South (2025), Kosher Soul: The Faith and Food Journey of an African American Jew (2022), and The Cooking Gene: A Journey through African American Culinary History in the Old South (2018), which won the James Beard Foundation Book Award for Book of the Year.
