gallery reception

a question of imagination and taste

Time 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where Jewett Art Center Visual Art Hallway and Gallery Foyer

Join the Art Department for a reception celebrating our first exhibition of the fall: a question of imagination and taste: the Jewett Arts Center, then and now.

The show is on view through October 14, but this is an opportunity to enjoy snacks and community while walking through this showcase of the architecture, history, and life of the Jewett Arts Center. The gallery director will be on hand to answer all your questions about the show and the building!

This gallery reception is free to attend and open to the public. If you are driving to campus, please plan to park in the campus garage and walk to Jewett (see campus map here). If you require an accessible route into the building or marked handicap parking spaces closer to the building, contact gallery director Samara Pearlstein (spearls2@wellesley.edu, 781-283-2043) for more detailed instructions.

This event is part of ARTS150: Celebrating Wellesley's Creative Legacy. Come to campus on Thursday Sept. 18 for the Davis Museum's opening celebration, 5:00-8:00 pm. On Friday Sept. 19, stick around after the gallery reception for a musical performance in the Jewett Auditorium: Suzanne Ciani '68: Improv on Four Sequences, 7:00-8:30 pm. And on Saturday Sept. 20, return to Jewett for Sounding Legacy: Wellesley College Faculty Composers, also 7:00-8:30 pm in the Jewett Auditorium.
